Washington Debate Academy serves students in Grades 5–12, typically ages 10–18.
No. The program supports first-time debaters and experienced competitors.
Classes are held in person at Tesla STEM High School in Redmond, Washington.
Thursdays from 5:30–7:00 PM.

Approximately 30 weekly sessions aligned with the Lake Washington School District calendar.
Extemporaneous Speaking, Congressional Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and World Schools Debate.
Placement considers age, grade, experience, skill, goals, cohort fit, and availability.
Students progress through Spark, Contender, Challenger, Champion, and Titan based on demonstrated skill and readiness.
Coaches and program organizers evaluate students continuously and determine advancement.
Participation may be encouraged based on the student's readiness, format, goals, and available events.
No. Tournament registration and related expenses are separate.
Tournament information will generally be shared 2–3 weeks in advance.
Yes, subject to availability and appropriate placement.
No. Individual makeup classes and partial credits are not offered.
$1,000 paid in full or two payments of $550.
Yes. The $50 nonrefundable registration fee is waived for students enrolled before September 5.
Yes. A 25% tuition discount applies to the second enrolled sibling while both students remain enrolled.
Payments are initially accepted through Zelle after placement is confirmed.
A notebook and pens or pencils. A laptop or tablet may occasionally be requested.
